Information About The Congress

The purpose of this Auxiliary is to promote Christian Education in the State of West Virginia, through Leadership Training Schools, District Congresses and Local Church Schools; to train and certify Superintendents, and Church Leaders.
 
     Our State Congress is composed of 10 General Officers, 10 Executive Board Members and a Executive Committee which consist of the 10 elected officers and the Executive Director of the West Virginia Baptist State Convention.
 
     This Auxiliary shall meet after the second Lord’s Day in June or at any other time called by the President and approved by the Executive Board.  All Congress Sessions shall be held at the Hilltop Baptist Center at Hilltop, WV.
 
     As President i would like to invited everyone to attend and participate in our Congress.  The last few years we have been meeting jointly with the State Youth Convention.  Our Session will be held on June 13-16, 2022.  The National Congress Theme is “Glorifying God through Our Commitment to Christ-Centered Evangelism:  As We Develop Stronger Biblical Stewardship of Work, Life, and of Leisure.”  Haggai 2:8; Matthew 6:33; Roman 14:12; Jeremiah 29:11; and 1 Corinthians 3:1-2.
 
     On Monday night our youth will open their session with Rev. Franklin Hairston issuing a challenge to our Youths.  Tuesday Morning our Congress classes will began at 9:00 a.m.  The Courses that will be taught is “The Pursuit of God” taught by Herman James and “Mere Christianity” taught by Phillip Copney, Sr.  Our Youth class will be “Mama Bear Apologetics” taught by Ms. Jacqueline Burroughs and Jeremiah Murphy. 
 
     On Tuesday evening Rev. James Mosley will deliver our Thematic Sermon.  On Wednesday Morning classes will resume at 9:00 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. the Congress President will deliver his Address.  The Bible Bowl will be held at 6:00 p.m. On Thursday morning our Congress will close out with Rev. Audie Murphy delivering our Memorial sermon.
 
     A form was sent to all of our churches so that schools could represent in our Congress.  Please fill out the form and return it with your representative or mail it to P.O. Box 283 Hilltop, WV. no later than June 11, 2022.
