The purpose of this Auxiliary is to enlist and coordinate the manpower of the church in the performance of essential christian activities; to promote fellowship among men, and to cultivate the christian life of Laymen through study, worship, service and dedication to he service of God.
The membership shall consist of all male members eighteen years of age ad over who are in good and regular standing with a Church which is a member of the West Virginia Baptist State Convention.
All men of the Local Church eighteen years of age and over shall be considered members of the Laymen’s Auxiliary, and simple enrollment with $5.00 in the Auxiliary shall indicate a desire for active membership.
The officers of the organization shall be a president, a membership vice president, a program vice president , a fellowship and cooperation vice president, a secretary, an assistant secretary, a financial secretary, a treasurer, an auditor and five area-of-work chairmen. All officers are elected for a term of one year.
The Executive Board shall consist of the nine elected officers, five members elected at large from the membership, and also the area-of-work chairmen. All presidents of District Laymen’s organizations shall also be members of the Executive Board.
All Auxiliaries and member must be in harmony with the purposes, policies and pocedures of this Auxiliary giving support as requested to its objectives in order to be members.
This Auxiliary shall hold its annual meeting the third Saturday in May. Also, there shall be two rotating area meetings held in the months of March and October. Extra meetings may be called by the President subject to the approval of the Executive Committee.
