Dr. Aaron L. Chapman, a servant of God, is often referred to as a relevant power packed Minister of the priceless Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Education
Dr. Chapman has distinguished himself at every level of the academic spectrum—from top 3% of his class at Murray Wright High School, to the Dean’s List at Eastern Michigan University, to Ashland Theological Seminary where he pursued a dual Master’s Degrees in Divinity and Theology and earned a Master of Divinity in 2006. In his desire to be all that God had called him to be, Dr. Aaron L. Chapman in 2011 received an earned Doctoral Degree in Religious Studies from Ashland Theological Seminary.
Gospel Ministry
Dr. Aaron L. Chapman served as a faithful member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church for eleven (11) years where he was called to preach the gospel under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Tellis J. Chapman. On April 23, 2005. God called him to Pastor the Dedicated To Christ Baptist Church where he has served the people of God for the past 18 years. Through the grace of the Lord and Leadership of Dr. Aaron L. Chapman, Dedicated To Christ purchased a new church home at 4424 8th Street in Ecorse, Michigan in October, 2007 and Burned the Mortgage in July of 2022. While pastoring at Dedicated to Christ, Dr. Chapman established several ministries: Mi Bridges (DHS), Heavenly Hands Up Food Pantry, Dedicated to Christ Website, Dedicated to Christ phone app, and Destined For Greatness Childcare. With all that was accomplished in Ecorse and abroad Dr Chapman had a God led desire for more. After submitting to the unyielding tug of the Holy Spirit; On January 22, 2023 after much prayer and fasting it was confirmed by God and prayerfully manifested by the New Hope Baptist Church Leadership and Congregation to extend the call to Dr. Aaron L Chapman as her next Senior Pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church of Southfield Michigan.
Equipping Other Shepherds
Dr. Chapman also serves as a professor in Homiletics at Ashland Theological Seminary, Moody Theological Seminary, the Heritage Center in Denominational Studies, and several other educational institutions. Within the ranks of the local, State, and National Conventions and Congresses, Dr. Chapman is the Homiletics Professor of the National Baptist Convention USA INC., Homiletics Instructor for BM&E State Convention, and is a sought-after Homiletics conference speaker. Dr. Chapman is also the former Vice President of DIMA, and former Congress President for the Central District Association of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Dr. Chapma is also the author of several books on preaching: “Preaching without Heart,” “I’m Called to Preach now What?” “Leaving life’s Envelope Empty,” “Mining for Masterpieces” and “Preaching Matters.”
Family Life Dr. Chapman is married to the former Valarie Kay Wilkinson, and they are the proud parents of two children, Aaron Christian and Destiny Kay Chapman.
