THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S DESK

I am delighted to share with you our new website.  We have engage Cucumber and Company to build us a new website that we believe will be more people friendly than the one we had before.  This new site will allow you to see many things that we are doing upon the Hill and throughout the State. We are intending to share with you the events that we are having at our West Virginia Baptist State Convention Headquarters as well as what is happening in our Districts.  We want our District Moderators to send us the events that are happening in their Districts such as your Associations, Sunday School Congresses, Woman’s Convention meetings, Ministers & Deacons meetings, Music Convention meetings, and others such meetings you would like to place on our site. We intend to post the events of the West Virginia Baptist State Convention on our site so that those who view our site can keep up with our meetings.

Some additional things we would like to add to our site is the names of all of our churches, their pastors and their times of services along with the churches address, phone number and website if they have one.  This information will be used to help visitors from out-of-state to locate a place to worship on Sunday Morning when they are in your area. We would also like Ministers to submit one of their sermons to be placed on our website. There will be an obituary page on our website so that people can submit the names of those who has passed away in your community or church.  These names will be placed on our page as soon as we receive them along with the funeral services. These are just a few of the things we hope to put on our website.  If you know of anything that we left off please submit it to and we will evaluate your request.
