MEMBERSHIP and HOW TO JOIN

All benefits derived from membership in this credit union will be utilized for Christian purposes.

WHAT IS A CREDIT UNION?

  • A credit union is a financial institution, approved to operate by a state or federal enity and is regulated and supervised by the National Credit Union Administration and/or a state official organization.
  • Credit unions exist to serve their members. Like banks, credit unions accept deposits, make loans and provide a wide array of other financial services. Credit unions provide a safe place to save and borrow at reasonable rates.
  • Credit unions do not operate for a profit. Profits made by the credit unions are returned back to
members in the form of reduced fees, higher savings rate, dividends and lower loan rates.

How is a credit union different than a bank

Credit unions are owned and controlled by the people, or members, who use their services. Members of the credit union serve on the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Committee and on the Credit Committee. During annual meetings a volunteer board of directors is election by members to manage a credit union. These directors then elect members to service on committees.

MEMBER-OWNED

YOU ARE MORE THAN A MEMBER, YOU ARE PART OWNER.

Your vote counts in our annual meetings and your voice is heard when you have a concern or complaint.
